I'm a PhD student in experimental particle physics. My main project is simulation studies of rare B decays in the ATLAS detector. The picture on the right is a simulated event where a B_s⁰ meson decays to two muons. Such a decay has never been observed, but it is expected to happen once in a while. If we can measure the rate of such decays, this will be a powerful test to the standard model of particle physis.

I'm also involved in a second project: Calorimetry for the Linear Collider Experiment (CALICE). Detector prototypes have been buildt and is now being tested in beam.
